Joining Requirements to Be Part of Friendly Friends as a DJ or Host

At Friendly Friends, we seek talented, professional, and passionate DJs and event hosts to join our growing family. If you want to be part of a reputable agency that values creativity, reliability, and strong client relationships, here are the essential requirements:

For DJs:

  • Proven experience performing as a DJ, with a focus on Soul, RnB, or related genres
  • Ability to read and engage diverse crowds, adapting music accordingly
  • Professional DJ equipment and technical proficiency (mixing, beat matching, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills and a professional attitude towards clients and events
  • Availability for bookings across Johannesburg and surrounding areas including Eastrand
  • Demonstrated reliability and punctuality for all engagements
  • A portfolio or demo mixes showcasing your style and skills

For Event Hosts:

  • Previous experience as an event or radio host with confident public speaking skills
  • Ability to engage, entertain, and maintain audience interest throughout events
  • Warm, approachable personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanour suitable for various event types
  • Flexible availability for events in Johannesburg and the Eastrand region
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with event teams

General:

  • Must be legally allowed to work in South Africa
  • Commitment to professionalism, punctuality, and delivering exceptional client service
  • Ability to provide references or testimonials upon request
